What UTAG Say

UTAG is a bespoke USB device for use in an emergency. The front of the UTAG features the universally recognised acronym ICE, meaning In Case of Emergency, plus the snake and staff medical symbols inside a paramedic star.

The USB device is shock resistant and is contained in either a dog tag or mini tag style housing and swivels open, or in a credit card sized device which can be carried in a purse or wallet.

With the UTAG fully open it is ready to be inserted into any USB port on a Windows 2000, ME, XP, Vista or Windows 7 computer.

Once inserted the computer recognises the device and, dependent on its settings, runs the program automatically. The Public Information screen (see below) then displays the details that you have entered. The design of the Public Information screen provides no Identity sensitive information. For example, nowhere within the UTAG software is your home address or date of birth entered, simply your year of birth. You provide the names and telephone numbers for contacting key people in the event of an emergency.
