The Shangri-la range comprises the hardiest tent in GoLite's range. The separate floor/shelter system offers total versatility, enabling you to take either the floor, shelter or both depending on conditions. Used alone, the shelter can be pitched between trees or over a tree stump allowing you to make use of the natural environment. On hotter nights, the nest alone can protect you from insects and other unwanted bedfellows and offers a great view of the stars.

Made from Sillite, a silicon 'impregnated' nylon, the Shangri-la shelter is extremely lightweight and strong, meaning it doesn't sacrifice durability to save on weight. The nest, made from no-see-um mesh with a nylon taffeta bathtub style floor, clips inside the shelter to convert it into a one-man 4-season fortress, inviolable to the elements.

This great bundle gives you both the floor and shelter with all necessary pegs and poles (although, all Shangri-la tents are pitchable with walking poles).

Durable 20 denier 1.6 oz woven nylon No-See-Um mesh keeps even the smallest bugs out while maximizing air flow and cross ventilation.

Whenever possible GOLITE reduces the use of chemicals, dyes and water in the production of their DAC-branded tent poles through a combination of efforts. They employ their proprietary Green Anodizing process and also specify the use of natural silver aluminum clear coat. Additionally, they choose to color-code only the end sections of specific poles, since that is all that is necessary to facilitate easy set-up.

An extremely strong, lightweight waterproof nylon ripstop fabric used in GoLite Shelters and Tents.  The nylon fibers are impregnated with Silicone, which allows the fabric to stretch without separating or breaking.  SilLite™ fabrics are far lighter than conventional tent fabrics, but also far stronger.
