What's The Script?:

The GOLITE Shangri-La 5 Shelter is an extremely lightweight and versatile canopy that would be a brilliant addition to any serious camping expedition. We couldn't believe how light this was for its size, and the material is super strong. It's great during the summer months, just set the huge canopy up easily with the pole and stake and enjoy a really spacious interior, or combine with the nest and floor (not included) to make an absolutely top notch full tent suitable for any conditions. There's also a really handy vent at the top which you can unzip to have a peak out at the conditions in the morning, or just to let some air in!

The rip stop fabric is made with Sillite, which is an extremely strong and waterproof material that is designed to stretch without breaking. Sillite fabrics are far lighter than normal materials and also far stronger. Durable 20 denier 1.6 oz woven nylon No-See-Um mesh keeps even the smallest bugs out while maximizing air flow and cross ventilation.

Whenever possible GOLITE reduces the use of chemicals, dyes and water in the production of their DAC-branded tent poles through a combination of efforts. They employ their proprietary Green Anodizing process and also specify the use of natural silver aluminum clear coat. Additionally, they choose to color-code only the end sections of specific poles, since that is all that is necessary to facilitate easy set-up.

An extremely strong, lightweight waterproof nylon ripstop fabric used in GoLite Shelters and Tents.  The nylon fibers are impregnated with Silicone, which allows the fabric to stretch without separating or breaking.  SilLite™ fabrics are far lighter than conventional tent fabrics, but also far stronger.
