Building on the GPSMAP 62’s popularity with geocachers, the GPSMAP 62stc's additional camera makes it the ultimate geocaching tool. With 5 mega-pixels of digital clarity the in-built camera allows you to take high quality geo-tagged photographs of your favourite places or geo-caches so that you can return again and again to the exact same location. Photos can then be uploaded to Garmin’s free-to-download database, Garmin Connect, allowing you to share them with the worldwide Garmin community.

The inclusion of a camera hasn’t meant sacrificing any of the standard GPSMAP 62 features. A sophisticated barometric altimeter will give you pinpoint accurate altitudinal readings and can also predict the weather through changes in atmospheric pressure and a 3 axis tilt-compensated compass can give a highly accurate readings without being held flat- great when you're on the move or up the side of a mountain.

Another great feature of the GPSMAP 62 series is its WAAS enabled high sensitivity GPS receiver with Hot Fix technology and a quad helix antenna. More than just jargon, this sophisticated technology enables the device to establish a dependable satellite connection no matter where you are, be it in thick woodland or in the depths of a valley. The 2.6 inch colour screen is readable no matter how hard the sun is shining.

The GPSMAP 62stc is also capable of wireless data transfer allowing you to share routes and other data with fellow Garmin users and a huge memory allows you near unlimited mapping options.
