“Surreal” Emlyn Roberts

Picture the scene – A summer evening, glorious sunset at my back, faithful dog by my side, running through mixed woodland in Abergwyngregyn, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Sounds drift across the valley, a haunting, melodious tune reminiscent of a bagpipe. Strange, as there are no dwellings nearby I turn my head and there, on a large rock on a hillside stands a lone piper, In North Wales! How surreal was that!! – my favourite running moment ever, and true! (As a busy nurse practitioner and father of three,running is the greatest stress-buster there is, keeping me fit, sane and healthy )
